Created by an international collective, ほそ道/Hoso Michi-The Narrow Road explores the voyages we
all take, from a simple vacation to the journey of life, by weaving together original text, movement, music, and comedy all inspired by Basho’s famous travel journal Oku no Hoso Michi. Performed in Japanese and English.
ほそ道/Hoso Michi-The Narrow Road was created by an ensemble of actors, directors, dancers, and designers from a variety of different nationalities and backgrounds. ほそ道/Hoso Michi takes a very upbeat, comical look at a universal experience, and brings together cultures from different sides of the Pacific to show that “Everyday is a journey, and the journey itself is home.”
